Chris Mintz, House Seat District 41

Democrat Chris Mintz, Spring 2005, formally announced his candidacy for election to the North Carolina House from District 41.

Chris is a small business owner and successful Financial Advisor in Raleigh. Originally from Goldsboro he is a graduate of North Carolina State University.

In his plan, Chris pledges to fight for common sense solutions that:

Improve and expand quality healthcare coverage

Improve our schools

Improve the local economy and create a favorable business climate

Assure smart and well planned growth

Michael Speciale, House Seat District 3

Republican Micheal Speciale, Spring 2005, has announced he is running for North Carolina House from District 3.

Michael, when asked what he would like to do as the Representative from District 3, says he intends to work on:

Incentives to entice new business into this state, without corporate subsidies.

A balanced budget. No excuses, no exceptions.

Bringing integrity, honesty, and honor back to the legislature. Service to the citizens must be first and foremost.

Legislative respect for our individual freedoms, personal privacy, private property, and our absolute right to bear arms. We don't need new laws; we need enforcement of those that already exist.

Tim Dunn, US Congress District 8

Democrat Tim Dunn, Spring 2004, is a challenger in the upcoming contest for North Carolina's 8th Congressional District.

A Fayetteville native and Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserve Tim has served in both Iraq and Europe.

When asked why he is running, Tim says he is concerned that we have failed to give our servicemen and women in Iraq the tools that they need to win and haven't clearly defined our strategy for winning. And he states he is deeply troubled by what he sees as Congress' failure to keep its promises to our nation's veterans.
